BurnBot has created a one-of-kind system for conducting prescribed burns to protect communities from destructive wildfires. The BurnBot RX1, a remote-operated prescription burning machine, can quickly and efficiently remove the hazardous vegetation that feeds destructive wildfires, no matter how dry or wet conditions on the ground are.

BurnBot’s unique approach can quickly and efficiently establish fuel breaks, firebreaks, and defensible space that protect communities, infrastructure, and natural resources.

Our technology

BurnBot uses synthetic prescribed fire, safely and cleanly, for vegetation treatment to mitigate destructive wildfires.

Safe, precise and clean

The BurnBot RX1 processes only the enclosed region directly below it, allowing it to safely and precisely burn areas adjacent to homes, structures, or other high-value assets.

Ignition of the unwanted fuels is done using an array of high-temperature torches while the flames and embers are fully contained within the system to ensure no risk of escape fire.

The high burn temperature creates less smoke than existing methods such as drip torches, which use noxious accelerants such as diesel fuel or gasoline.
